Software QA Manager
GDS (Global Data Sciences) is a PayPal unit specializing in development of data-science, Machine-Learning and AI solutions for multiple domains across PayPal – Risk, Fraud, Credit Sales, Marketing, Customer-support, Product experience, Operation and more. We use data, technology and innovative machine learning algorithm to drive business results and improve customer experience
We are looking for a software QA manager to lead our BigData applications testing domain in Chennai
Responsibilities
- Recruit and build a QA team from scratch
- Lead and provide mentoring for the QA engineers.
- Take part in setting test strategies for improving our analytics solutions quality and time-to-market.
- Promote and leverage our existing global group’s infrastructure to address local projects needs
- Lead E2E test activities, working closely with developers and data scientists on a complex and innovative analytics applications
- Provide technical leadership in architecture and design for our software testing solutions and for introduction of new technologies
- Provide progress status reports, resolve conflicts and raise flags about outstanding issues that should be escalated for mitigation.
- Act as the site representative on the global Quality, Services and Tools leadership team
Requirements:
- BSc / BA in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of experience in managing software QA team
- Ability to push ideas and influence on decision making in a collaborative manner
- Independent, self-motivated and organized
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Excellent analytics, problem-solving and debugging skills
- Experience in working on global environments
- Java/Python/Scala development experience
- Experience in designing/architecture of QA automation frameworks and infrastructure
- Experience working with Big Data technologies such as
Hadoop / Spark / Hive / Kafka / HBase / Elastic Serach stack – significant advantage. - Experience with data analytics practices – Advantage
