Job Description
Work as a team member to design and develop core platform components. Should be able to understand the functionalities of the components involved in Ab-initio graphs and Unix shell scripting. Migrate the application to use firms big data platform using Spark/Hadoop while delivering critical pieces of business functionality. Application is based on a stack of Ab-initio,Oracle, TIBCO BW
Key Responsibilities:
Experience in design, development and coding world class software with 2+ years of experience using Ab-initio graphs and Unix shell scripting, RDBMS. Experience with Spark/Hadoop (Or willingness to learn backed with solid technology understanding of distributed systems) is desired. Must have the ability to design, co-ordinate and develop in a fast paced agile environment.
Key responsibilities are:
Ownership and responsibility for end-to-end design and development, testing, release of key components
Ensure process compliance and manage expectations of the leadership
Actively participate in brainstorming session and provide solid inputs to the team
Create design document, test, release plans
Supervise and steer AbInitio ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) design and development activities
Implement best practices for ETL development, logical and physical data modelling
Ensure best practices are followed
