Responsibilities:
- Primary duties will be to develop, test and deploy models used for diagnosing the health condition of wind turbine components to highlight potential failures and/or damages before they happen
- Linking failure predictions to recommended solutions that will fix the problem
- Proactively monitor model performance and seek feedback from operational users actions taken in the field in order to make decisions on required calibration and/or retraining
- Constant interaction with service operations performing a follow up on the alerts detected by the system and the technical actions applied on field (interim responsibility)
- Identify new areas where models could be developed to improve operational performance
- Knowledge sharing to spread technical solutions
- Support to service operations on interpreting the predictive models to optimize maintenance
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Programmes
Competencies:
- Deep knowledge on SQL databases & SQL scripts creation, with skills on handling big sets of data
- Deep knowledge on visualization software like Spotfire & PowerBI or similar
- Expertise on artificial neural networks, machine learning and other advanced techniques on smart data (Python, R)
- Expertise on Root Cause Failure Analysis, Basic Fault Diagnosis and Condition Evaluation
- Skills to apply advanced statistical techniques to model wind turbine behavior, identify causal impact and attribution, and define, build and benchmark-related metrics
- Bring not just an analytics-orientation, but the ability to use analytics to drive key success metrics related to yield management and revenue generation
- Experienced on the commercial side, and decidedly “hands-on” and not just theoretical
- Familiar with business metrics such as KPIs and other indicators
- Pro-active, curious, structured, self-motivated, reliable, credible, open minded, ambitious
- Fluency in English and have good communication, presentation skills
