Job Description
- A Ph.D. in statistics/machine learning.
- Proven technical leadership skills that fits in with a fun, fast-moving startup environment.
- 7+ years of data scientist experience plus the experience in growing a data science team. Also, significant programming experience in data science-friendly languages like Python or R.
- Expertise in big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL. With exposure to ML library like CNTK, Tensor flow, MxNet, Caffee or OpenCV.
- Ability to work closely with business, product management, and engineering teams to improve recommendation accuracy & relevance through advanced ML techniques.
Job Requirements
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to guide the team to approach data science problems in a methodical and structured manner, prototype algorithms and demonstrate gains in real data.
- Commanding knowledge on data science life cycle, as well as good proficiency in any of the statistical packages like NumPy, pandas etc.
- Ability to handle massive datasets and working with GIS/Maps data.
