Successful candidate will be part of smaller optimization sub team, that belongs to larger Data Science R&D team. He/She will be accountable for :
- Leading own research projects in the field of optimization
- Explore and lead external technical collaborations with leading world institutes and universities in fields of applied mathematics and optimization
- Work independently on few projects directly with the business
- Be accountable for delivery of efficient algorithms
- Work with other groups within Digitalization CoE, as well as with colleagues from Shell IT to provide end-to-end digital products, be accountable for their delivery, and create cash flow for the Shell Group
Digitalization CoE is a part of Technology organization within Shell’s Projects and Technology, and has about 250 members. Data Science R&D team in India is part of the global Data Science team, and counts ~ 20 members from diverse background (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics/Statistics and different fields of Engineering), equipped with right set of skills to tackle most challenging data related problems in RDS. Our team delivers substantial cash to the RDS bottom line by driving number of successful project that spans from Shell’s Upstream, Downstream, Chemicals, Integrated Gas business, as well as support to our Trading and Supply business.
