Key Responsibilities:
- Experience in design, development and coding world class software with 8+ years of sound ETL experience. Experience with Spark/Sqoop/Hive (Or willingness to learn backed with solid technology understanding of distributed systems) is essential. Must have the ability to design, co-ordinate and develop in a fast paced agile environment
- Key responsibilities are:
- Lead /part of team of offshore developers in Chennai to deliver best in class functionalities to users
- Be a hands on project lead at offshore who can lead by example
- Coordinate with other consultants located in onshore (USA) and offshore (India)
- Ownership and responsibility for end-to-end design and development, testing, release of key components
- Ensure process compliance and manage expectations of the leadership
- Actively participate in brainstorming session and provide solid inputs to the team
- Create design document, test, release plans
- Supervise and steer ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) design and development activities
- Implement best practices for ETL development, logical and physical data modelling
- Successfully migrate ETL logic into Spark/Hadoop platform
- Ensure best practices are followed

Knowledge/Experience:
- Experienced with Finance/Banking application development (8+ year)
- 3+ Year Development and Design Experience in Big Data Architectures like Apache Hadoop with excellent understanding of Hadoop architecture and ecosystem( HDFS, Job Tracker, Task Tracker, high availability, MapReduce, Spark, Pig scripting, Scala, Flume, Hive, Sqoop, Kafka etc.)
- Hands-on experience with R, Python is a plus
- Relational Database SQL (Oracle) experience (5+ year). Should be capable of writing complex and efficient SQL DML statements
- Programming language (Java) experience (5+ year)
- Experience on shell scripting would be added advantage
- It is desired but not mandatory to have experience with Business Intelligence applications using proven open source or vendor products Tableau, Arcadia

Qualifications:
