Responsibilities will include:
- Designing, procuring, coordinating, and implementing Avaya Voice Portal IVR systems and changes throughout the organization in conjunction with the Director of IT, Telephony, and Production Systems
- Working with other teams on integrating data with the IVR systems like Salesforce, Peoplesoft
- Performing adds/moves/changes and performing preventative maintenance on IVR Applications
- Reviewing and carrying out IVR system work request using Avaya Orchestration Designer
- Overseeing the troubleshooting and owning IVR problems; notifying outside vendors if required
- Supervising the work of vendor technicians to assure compliance with specifications and agreed-upon levels of service; identifying variances or service inadequacies to appropriate vendor representatives and working with vendors to resolve problems
- Reading technical journals and/or manuals, attending vendor seminars and appropriate professional development workshops to learn about the maintenance and use of emerging computer hardware, software, telephony, and network systems
- Maintaining IVR Flows and procedures for each client and owning such information/documentation to leadership with reporting metrics
- Planning for and designing for future growth
The Candidate:
Required skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Computer Science or 3-5 years of equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of Java/JEE, MySQL, PHP, and Perl
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel
- Ability to provide technical training to end users
- Knowledge of a range of IVR Systems, Avaya Voice Portal Platform preferred
- Ability to manage Application servers
- Ability to work on CI/CD, source control
- Ability to work on web services
Preferred skills:
- Ability to install, configure, and maintain IVR Systems and related hardware and software
- Ability to identify and resolve IVR System malfunctions and operational problems
- Ability to learn and support new systems and applications
