Job description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Define problem statements, propose data-based projects or initiatives and communicate findings to all relevant stakeholders
- Run analyses and generate insights into current business performance and inform the direction of process and model changes
- Monitor feedback from the different teams to improve the process and promote efficiency
- Gain an understanding of the underlying systems that contribute to the business and how they interact to result in the end product/process/outcome
- You will be the sales process creator, analyst, and optimizer which means complete ownership from ideation to execution of projects
- You constantly monitor feedback from the different teams to improve the process and promote efficiency
- Comfortable working in large, varying data sets and environments
- Adapt to different systems and gather data from those systems as needed
- Good communication skills and stakeholder management
- Demonstrated data analytics ability to critically look at performance data and draw constructive conclusions from the results
- Suggest and pitch process improvements or suggest efficiencies to improve the sales team performance
- You are able to model business processes and communicate the analysis of those processes
Requirements:
- Education and experience: Bachelor’s or Masters in a quantitative field (such as Engineering, Statistics, Math, Economics, or Computer Science with Modeling/Data Science), preferably with work experience of over 2 years.
- A passion for helping organizations understand how to solve problems through analytics.
- Ability to manage simultaneous tasks in a fast-paced, technology-oriented environment.
- Prior project experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred, but not absolutely required.
- Sound statistical knowledge in standard techniques: Logistic Regression, Classification models, Cluster Analysis, Neural Networks, Random Forests, Ensembles, Experimental Design, etc.
- Familiarity with database technologies and tools (SQL/R/SAS/JMP etc.), data transformation and processing. Work experience with real data for customer insights, business, and market analysis will be advantageous.
- Experience with a visualization tool such as Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI, Sisense, etc.
- Experience with text analytics, data mining and social media analytics.
